NEARLY THERE!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for visiting the site! I have some great news! The new album is nearly finished!  I am SO  excited about it! Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones have done the most amazing job of producing an album that I am truly proud of!

The songs for the new album have more of a folk feel to them and lyrically things are more of an honest reflection of the journey I have been on...and am still on! I can't wait for you to hear it! Details of where and how you can buy the album will be up on the site soon, but I'm heading for a September release!

I have been crazily busy recording and getting that side of things finished, and have had a lot of shows and seminars teaching vocals.  You can see the next run of events I'm playing at on the gigs page!  Please visit and if you are near any of the venues come along and hear some of the new material that I'm road testing!

Anyone visiting New Wine Festival this year will have the chance to hear me at the After Hours venue week 1 and week 2! Keep an eye out! Also London people, you have several gigs this month and next!

Anyway, I'll be posting up the news as it comes and LOVE to hear from you guys! Send me an email if you have anything to say!

Update March 2009 Ethiopia, Compassion and more on the new record.

Hi everyone!

I just got back from one of the most amazing weeks of my life so far! I had the opportunity to visit Ethiopia with Compassion UK alongside J John and several other of his associates from around the UK.  For those of you who don't know anything about this charity, Compassion works through local churches overseas to release children from economic, social, physical and spiritual poverty. Though child sponsorship, many hundreds of children, and families have their lives transformed. I cannot express enough how powerful an experience this trip was. As someone who perhaps has a tendency to look for problems and holes in sponsorship programmes and development strategies, I have come away convinced that this charity truly makes an incredible difference! I sponsored a little boy called Samuel, who is just 3 years of age and lives with his mother and four other brothers.  Because of sponsorship Samuel will always have health checks, treatment for any health issues, clothes, shoes on his feet, nutritional care, spiritual care and schooling. These are basic rights that every child should have, and if I can just spare less that £20 a month (1 trip to Starbuck's each week) someone else gets their human right!

If you are in a position where you are able to sponsor a child for just £18 a month then follow this child sponsorship link. 

On the music front, I have finished my second week or recording the new album, which is due to be finished by the summer! Woo hoo!  It's sounding great, and I'm so excited about finally having some new material to share with you all.  Colour Scheme, my first album is in the process of re-press and will be available through this site again within the next couple of weeks at a cheaper price! Bargain.

I have several new gigs which will be updated on the gigs page. I'm playing several Christian festivals this year as well as continuing with individual venue shows. If you can see a gig that's near you then please come and watch!

Happy New Year to you all!

2009 is set to be a full and exciting year for me.  You'll see from the gig page (if I update it!) that there are a lot of dates in the diary, which give me the opportunity to work with some fantastic people AND showcase my brand new album which I am hoping will be available to buy from this Spring! woo hoo!

I am recording again in February in Scotland with Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones and so far the music is sounding fantastic! I'll write a little bit more about the album soon, so that you have an idea of what to expect.

I am currently working with J John throughout January and February in Chorleywood. Please check out the link to find out more about these amazing events.

Update Autumn 08

Hey everyone!
Well things have been crazy, but good! I just came of a little tour with Steve Parsons which went really well! Great to travel and meet some new folks! Thanks so all of you who turned out for the gigs.  We'll be doing more shows next year so we'll keep you posted.

I start recording new material in Glasgow in November, which should be fun! I also have a few shows coming up with ToyBox , so if you see a venue in your area please come along. 

I will also be accompanying J John to several Christmas carol services, so again if you want a great evening of Christmas fun then come along!

Hello! Updates for the summer

Hi Everyone! Sorry not to have published an update for a long time! The summer has been very busy amidst gigs, vocal workshops, writing and recording AND moving house. 

All is well on the Nicki Rogers front and I am excited to tell you that I am recording new material for release in the Autumn.  Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones will be recording with me at The Foundry Music Lab and I am so excited about the next record.  I will keep you updated!

There are a whole host of new gigs added to the gigs page so go there and see if I'll be near you at any point over the coming months. Be sure to come along to the Nicki Rogers/Steve Parsons Tour and please get your tickets booked for the Adrian & Bridget Plass Tour in November. Latest news and blerb!

Hi everyone!

Sorry not to let you all know what happened at the Indy Awards! I have been CRAZY busy! Anyway here goes..

It was a great night, but I didn't win the award, although being there in the final 54 was such a massive priviledge!

Thank you so much to all of you who came along, and although there was no award, I was reminded by SEB Collective that winning was being nomindated, and the award just icing on the cake! Nice! Thank you to all of you for giving me the cake!

I've been busy gigging, and travelling loads this last week or two. I just attended Hillsong Colour Conference at the Royal Albert Hall for the last two days and it was FANTASTIC!

I am planning a recording that will be ready hopefully by Autumn for the general public! It's time I put some of the songs I've been performing for the last couple of years down!

So, there's a bit of writing going on, more gigs planned for the summer and the Autumn. That's all...I think I should probably say more about atristic stuff...but i'll do that another day.

Hey guys!

Just wanted to say thanks for coming out to The Original Songwriters on Tuesday! What a great night!  The house band are absolutley hot to trot!  I loved playing with them.  I’ll hopefully be back there in May so please keep your eyes peeled on the gig listings! 

Looking forward to seeing a load of you at My Place on Saturday for the celebration of Soho Revue’s Indy Award nominees!  SEBCollective do an amazing job and always run fantastic evenings (hence their nomination for best promoters) so come along for a great time!

Many many thanks to you all for voting over these last two months! It paid off and I have been shortlisted for The INDY Music Award in the MUSIC UNCHARTED BEST INDIE ACT.
 
I'm over the moon!  The award ceremony will be on April 25th this year..and no doubt winners will be announced on the night!
 
SEB COLLECTIVE was short listed for PROMOTER of the YEAR which is great! They nominated me for the award and so I'm so pleased that they have also been recognised for their excellent work!

Hey everyone!

Firstly just want to say a big 'thank you' to all of you who voted for me at The Indy Awards! Many thanks!  I will keep you posted. I think that to be nominated was such an honor, and if it stops at that I'll be happy!  It's so lovely being acknowledged as an artist and when things like this happen it definitely spurs me on!

I've been to Cornwall and back at the weekend and had a great gig at Space South-West in Truro!  It was lovely to see so many people there! It rained on us in the afternoon though, and I ended up with a terrible cold all weekend!  I thought it was meant to be sunny and surfy in Cornwall??  Oh well, I'll have to go back to see if the sun really does shine on the Cornish coast!

I have a couple of great gigs over these next two weeks. Be sure to check out the gigs page!  I'd love to see a good crowd at the gig on 8th and also at the wonderful SEBCollective night, My Place (Celebration of Indy Award Nominee’s) on Saturday April 12th! Come down and listen to some great music and have a bevy!

There are only 5 days to go until voting closes for the UK Indy Award’s. Please, please vote for me if you haven't done so already!  

I really appreciate every single vote and can't do this without you!  (Follow this link to vote) it will only take a couple of minutes! There will only be 4 shortlisted artists, so it's a tough thing to get through! I need you all and really value your support! Even if you are overseas you can make all the difference!
